BuildINC Business: EV Bots Reimagines Electric Vehicle Charging With Mobile Technology

Watch This Episode Here!

In this BuildINC Business Episode, Marcherie Savage sits down with the founder of EV Bots, Virind Gujral. He shares how a simple, personal moment sparked a larger business idea. What began with his son building a small robot to help fuel their Lexus turned into a realization: there was a major gap in the electric vehicle charging market. From that moment, EV Bots was born with a mission to rethink how vehicles receive power.

Rather than relying on fixed charging stations, EV Bots is developing mobile, autonomous robots that bring energy directly to vehicles. This approach is especially valuable for commercial fleets, where time and efficiency are critical. By allowing vehicles to charge while parked, the technology reduces downtime and improves overall operations. The company is also exploring added features, like robots that can check and refill tire pressure, expanding their functionality beyond just charging.

The episode also highlights the role of Chattanooga’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Gujral notes that the INCubator program was both welcoming and cost-effective, giving startups like Virinds the support needed to grow. Beyond innovation, he emphasizes a broader goal: bringing more diversity and opportunity to Chattanooga’s tech scene.

Ultimately, EV Bots represents more than just a technological advancement; it’s a story of identifying a real-world problem, building a creative solution, and using entrepreneurship to make both an economic and community impact.
