Ken Burton Shares his NOVONIX Journey

Since expanding its manufacturing operations in 2019, NOVONIX has brought some of the best jobs in Tennessee to Chattanooga’s riverfront neighborhood – The Bend.

The battery developer invested approximately $160 million toward purchasing and retrofitting the former Alstom building in efforts to address the need for a US-based lithium-ion battery supply chain.

The 400,000+-square-foot plant now operates in conjunction with its PUREgraphite location at 353 Corporate Place – established in 2019 – and has helped create nearly 300 new jobs for our community.

As part of that growing workforce, Ken Burton, Mechanical Process Supervisor, NOVONIX shares his story of how the company helped launch him toward an exciting new career.
