Insider Praises Chattanooga’s Remote Work Charm

Business news magazine, Insider, joins the extensive line of media coverage listing Chattanooga as one of the best places for remote workers to live.

The global publication released an article spotlighting the advantages remote workers experience in Chattanooga – from affordable housing, exceptional broadband and unique co-working spaces to the city’s unique sense of community and fresh outdoor offerings.

Gig City is experiencing a population increase due to some of the world’s fastest internet speeds, a tight-knit community, and a favorable location for venture capital-backed startups.

The article featured Cameron Doody, co-founder of venture fund Brickyard who spoke on how tech companies, remote workers and start-ups are taking advantage of the favorable business climate and the ability to “remove distraction, but not isolate.”

Doody, along with Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly, also recently spoke with the Wall Street Journal to praise the city’s venture capital boom and entrepreneurship opportunities found within Gig City.

Insider also featured Sukriti Chadha, project manager, Spotify and recent Tennessee transplant who shared her love of Chattanooga’s outdoor offerings.

“I’d forgotten what a blessing it is to be among trees, waterfalls, wild bunnies, and the occasional armadillo family on the back porch,” Chadha says.

With lush mountains, the Tennessee River and plenty of scenery as the backdrop, Chattanooga boasts breathtaking views and promises plenty of outdoor recreation and a higher quality of life. And it shows. People have been flocking to this mid-sized city with the heart of a small town for several years.

Commenting on our regional economic growth Jordan Pandy, reporter, Insider states, “Chattanooga, right now, is banking on word of mouth alone – and, so far, it’s working.”
