Chattanooga Supplier Expo to Help Local Businesses Become City Suppliers

The City of Chattanooga is encouraging local entrepreneurs to work with the city through its new “Help Our City Buy Local” campaign. As part of the effort, the city will host the Chattanooga Supplier Expo on March 26 to connect small businesses with city purchasing opportunities. The free event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Washington Hills Community Center. At the Chattanooga Supplier Expo, local business owners can meet representatives from city departments, business support organizations and regional government agencies.

“Buying local for the city means we’re keeping tax dollars local, supporting small businesses across Chattanooga,” said Stephanie Bice, the city’s manager of strategic sourcing outreach. “We’re making it easier for local small business owners to register as a supplier and connect them with resources throughout the bidding process. Now is a great time to do business with the city.”
