Health Department Offering Booster Shots to Children 12-15 On Jan. 11

The Hamilton County Health Department is awaiting guidance from the Tennessee Department of Health regarding the administration of Pfizer COVID-19 booster shots for ages 12-15. They will begin offering boosters to this age group at our vaccination sites on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Additional details will be available on Monday.

The Health Department encourage you to visit your pharmacy or healthcare provider if you would like your child to receive a booster before Tuesday. Individuals ages 12-15 may receive a booster if it has been a minimum of 5 months since the second shot in their primary series.

Please visit vaccine.hamiltontn.gov or call the Health Department’s COVID-19 hotline at 423-209-8383 if you have questions.
