Health Department, Maclellan and Benwood Foundations to Offer Free Flu Vaccine Clinic Saturday, November 7, At Mt. Canaan Baptist Church on HWY 58


HAMILTON COUNTY, TN – The Hamilton County Health Department, in partnership with the Maclellan and Benwood Foundations, will offer a free flu vaccine clinic at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church this Saturday, November 7th from 10AM – 2PM, located at 4801 TN-58, Chattanooga, TN 37416, as long as supplies are available. 

“We are grateful to the Maclellan and Benwood Foundations for making this clinic possible,” said Health Department Director of Community Health Services Bill Ulmer.  “And we are especially pleased with the opportunity to partner with the faith community in reaching the vulnerable population.  We continue to encourage everyone to get a flu vaccine this year whether it be at one of the Health Department’s flu vaccine clinics, your primary care provider or at your local pharmacy.”

The flu shots will be free for Hamilton County adults 18 years of age and older. No appointment is necessary. Everyone in the car should be wearing a mask before receiving the vaccine. Bilingual interpreters will be on-hand at each site.

Although this event is for adults 18 and over, free flu vaccine opportunities are available for children as well. Parents should call to make an appointment with the Health Department’s 3rd St. pediatric clinic at 423-209-8050 or the Sequoyah Health Center at 423-209-5490.

The Health Department continues to offer free COVID-19 testing at the Alstom site 7 days a week, from 8:30AM – 1:00PM located at 1125 Riverfront Parkway.
