EPB Fiber Optics First to Launch 4K Ultra HD Viewing

Chattanooga, TN (July 29, 2016) – EPB Fiber Optics is the first provider to offer 4K Ultra HD viewing to the Chattanooga market with the launch of Fi TV Select. The new TV offering also responds to customer requests for more options and greater flexibility. All customers, who choose Fi TV Select, will receive high definition (HD) channels and video-on-demand (VOD) services, along with the opportunity to add more features like 4K Ultra HD viewing and premium networks no matter which “Channels Package” they choose.

EPB’s new TV product gives customers greater choice by allowing them to mix and match from among one of three “Channels Packages” and one of three “Features Packages.” For example, customers, who want a smaller channel set that includes the local networks, can choose the Bronze Select Channels Package along with the Advanced Features Package, which includes a whole home DVR that can record up to 4 HD channels* at the same time.

In addition, Fi TV Select offers the Ultimate Features Package which includes Timeshift, 4K Ultra HD (customers must have a 4K TV to view this feature), and an enhanced DVR. With Timeshift, customers can rewind or restart live programs on 25 of the most popular channels up to 24 hours later. The 4K Ultra HD feature delivers next-generation picture quality on select channels delivered at a resolution that is four times higher than conventional HD. Enhanced DVR gives customers the ability to record up to 6 HD channels* and store up to a terabyte of recorded programs.

New EPB television subscribers will automatically receive Fi TV Select. Existing EPB television customers may continue their current service or contact EPB to upgrade to Fi TV Select and take advantage of the greater flexibility and new features it offers.

“We want our customers to have the flexibility to build the television experience that’s right for them,” said EPB president David Wade. “Fi TV Select offers greater choice to go along with the unparalleled picture quality only available through Chattanooga’s 8,000 mile fiber-to-the-home network.”

Ordering and customizing Fi TV Select is an easy three-step process:

Choose a Channels Package (Bronze Select, Silver Select or Gold Select)

Choose a Features Package (Standard, Advanced or Ultimate)

Optional: Choose Additional Channels (Premiums, Sports Package, Latino Package, etc.)

As with all EPB Fiber Optics offerings, Fi TV Select comes with free installation and neighbor-to-neighbor customer service that’s always available—24/7/365. For more information or to order Fi TV Select, call (423) 648-1372 or visit www.epb.com.
