Support Downtown Restaurants and Win

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 9, 2020) – Finding take-out, curbside pickup, delivery and online shopping options for Downtown Chattanooga restaurants and retail is now all in one online location at www.DowntownChattanooga.org. And, community members can win gift cards to local eateries by getting social with their take-out purchases.

With many restaurants and retail changing their days and hours of operations or even closing altogether in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, finding accurate information about what businesses are offering can be challenging. The Downtown Chattanooga Restaurant and Retail Directory resource aims to provide information about how these Downtown establishments are operating in one centralized location for easy use.

“During this uncertain time, we know Chattanoogans want to support their local restaurants and retail in ways that are safe and help ensure that their favorite shops and eateries are still in business after this pandemic passes,” stated Amy Donahue, director of marketing and communication for River City Company. “With that in mind, Downtown Chattanooga restaurants and retailers have ways for you to support them during this time. Whether it’s grabbing takeout curbside or purchasing merchandise online, there are many ways that you can support local even in the time of COVID-19.”

In addition to the directory tool, community members can participate in supporting local restaurants and win gift cards for doing so. In the #TakeoutTonightCHA challenge, Instagram users can share a photo on his or her personal account using the hashtag #TakeoutTonightCHA and tagging the @DowntownChatt account on photos of their take-out from a Chattanooga restaurant. Every week, River City Company will be randomly selecting someone who has shared a photo to receive a gift card up to $100 to use at various Downtown Chattanooga restaurants.

The Downtown Chattanooga Restaurant and Retail Directory along with the #TakeoutTonightCHA challenge will be ongoing until current social distancing restrictions are eased, and restaurants and retail can begin to operate in a more normal manner.
