Diversify Virtual Summit 2022: Presented by BlueCross BlueShield Tennessee was held on Tuesday.

With the Juneteenth celebration approaching, community members met online to celebrate diversity and inclusion in Chattanooga – building on the community-wide Velocity 2040 vision of fostering opportunities for all people to succeed.

Our featured speaker Amy Liu, Vice President & Director, Brookings Institute spoke on the economic benefits of DE&I and what steps COO’s can take to ensure diversity and talent in their workplace.

The presentation was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Dionne Jenkins, Vice President, Diversity & Inclusion, TVCFU and featured expert panelists Ken Jones, Senior Director of Procurement, Vendor Relations and Minority & Women-Owned Businesses at EPB; Nicole Brown, Manager of Community Benefits and Diversity, CHI Memorial; and Justin Groenert, Vice President of Public Policy, Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce.
