Steam Logistics Expands Headquarters to Historic John Ross Building

Chattanooga takes a major step toward furthering its economic development as Steam Logistics announces they’re expanding their headquarters to the historic John Ross Building, downtown.

“This project represents the staggering impact our entrepreneurs can have on Chattanooga as they attract and grow world-class talent and invest in our community,” said Charles Wood, VP of Economic Development, Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce.

Officials estimate the creation of over 400 new jobs with this expansion, outfitting the John Ross Building with the purpose of growing Chattanooga after multiple attempts at marketing the establishment for use.

Steam Logistics is a third-party logistics company that has been growing exponentially over recent years, more than 200 percent in 2020. This growth has made it one of the fastest-growing logistics companies in the country, supplying over 2,000 customers worldwide with supplies and services.

This investment will join Steam Logistics’ current offices on Fourth Street and Market Street with the neighboring John Ross Building. The expansion will allow the company’s mission to seep through Chattanooga more efficiently as a larger portion of the community learns about its services.

Steam Logistics is connecting the population of Chattanooga with its dedication to providing excellent and reliable delivery services. This investment coincides directly with the objective of Velocity2040 to improve the economy by creating better job opportunities for all.
