Make-a-Thon, a 12 Hour Design Marathon, Comes to Chattanooga

This September, Make a Mark is dropping by Chattanooga for Make-a-Thon, a 12 hour design and development marathon that benefits local nonprofits and humanitarian causes.

Around one dozen nonprofits will be selected to participate in the event, which brings together designers, developers and other creative types to create pro-bono work for nonprofits who don’t have time to remain caught up on projects. The outcome is a host of pro-bono marketing materials from talented local creatives.

In the past, Make a Mark events have provided nonprofits with more than $100,000 worth of design and marketing resources. The idea is to lend a helping hand to nonprofits who may struggle to find the time and resources to create materials that promote their projects.

Make a Mark partnered with Causeway to bring this event to Chattanooga. This September, selected applicants will gather from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. to do what they do best: create top notch marketing projects for good causes.

The Chattanooga Make-a-Thon will be held Sept. 23, 2017 at The Edney.

Nonprofit applications are open now through June 30, while Maker applications will be available from July 1 to Aug. 7.
