Startup Week: From Business to Bubbly

Amanda Ellis

The third annual Startup Week Chattanooga, Oct. 3-8, celebrates our entrepreneurial community with a week of community-led events highlighting our startup scene and inspiring entrepreneurial thinking.

Participants include startup founders, thought leaders, community supporters, investors, and this year — us, the Chattanooga Chamber.

We’re hosting two Startup Week events:

Bubbly vs. Brews, a corporate matchmaking event for startups

Oct. 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Chamber

Chamber staff take great pride in connecting local startups with the corporate community. This event acts as a starting place for these relationships to grow organically.

Come by, shake a few hands and snag a tour with our neighbors at UX design school Center Centre.

Culture Conundrums: Scaling from Startup to Enterprise

Oct. 6 from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the Chattanooga Public Library

Join the Chamber, Co.Starters, and Skuid for a panel on workplace culture for businesses of any size, background and field. We'll discuss what culture means, who is responsible for shaping culture, how businesses change and shift culture and what role culture plays in attracting and retaining human capital.

Mike Bradshaw, Co.Lab, will moderate. Panelists include:

Julia Bursch, Bellhops
Gina Crumbliss, Chattanooga Food Bank
Enoch Elwell, CO.STARTERS
Lane Ford, Skuid
Matt McLelland, Kenco Innovation Labs
Chris Sorensen, Mission Chattanooga
Michael Weiss, Unum

We'll have plenty of coffee to get your morning started right. Register here.
