En3rgy 3, LLC intends to go global. The Chattanooga-based company recently purchased national consulting practice, EES Consulting, and the new management team, headed by Dan LeVan, has big plans for the firm.
LeVan, who operated a franchise of EES Consulting in Hamilton County’s business INCubator, the third largest business incubator in the country, plans to grow the firm’s presence abroad, specifically to London and Toronto, in addition to its current operations in Boston, Chicago, Houston and Austin. The newly-assembled En3rgy, LLC will be headquartered here in the Scenic City.
“Chattanooga is the perfect location for us to continue to grow our company. It’s one of few places in the country with a large talent pool in both electrical and efficiency thanks to the presence of companies like Oak Ridge National Labs, TVA and EPB,” says LeVan.
EES Consulting works to reduce energy consumption, water consumption and improve waste management, all while saving its clients’ money. Delivering customized energy and waste solutions to commercial and industrial clients, EES uses its signature three-step process to make saving money and energy “EESy.”
With clean energy and the environment becoming more visible on the national and international stages, it’s no wonder that EES has a variety of clients eager to take advantage of its services. Clients range from distribution centers and auto dealerships to manufacturing warehouses, and are located around the country, from Massachusetts to San Antonio. Closer to home, Dunlap Industries, a textile trim manufacturer headquartered in Dunlap, Tenn., enlisted EES to assess and implement energy efficient lighting solutions at two of its manufacturing plants. The results: improved lighting and increased efficiency in both plants.
“[EES] certainly earned [our] business by coming in and laying out all of the options and helping us see what the best options would be for us and then in the end, those options allowed us to accomplish personal and corporate goals that we had laid out,” says Robert Kwasnik, president and owner of Dunlap Industries.
Dunlap Industries is just one of many satisfied customers. In 2015 alone, EES helped its clients save more than 7.5M kilowatt hours in energy and avoid more than 23.4M pounds of carbon dioxide emissions. To put it in perspective, that’s enough to power nearly 20 homes with electricity for one year, or the equivalent of removing 1,217 cars from the road.
