September AM Networking at the Y

V1rp1KyU15M

Held the first Wednesday of every month, AM Networking brings business people together for an hour of networking and refreshments. The downtown YMCA hosted our September AM Networking.

Trend: Why did you decide to host a Chamber networking event?
YMCA: To create awareness of how we are impacting lives and that we are much more than a place to exercise.

T: What is special about your business?
Y: We are for all. Any and all walks of life are welcome. The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

T: What’s your favorite part of being a Chamber member and why?
Y: We both help strengthen our community. Both are committed to making our community a place where everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

T: How does your business make a difference in our community?
Y: The Y is the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through the following areas of focus:
Youth Development:  Nurturing the potential of every child and teen. We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.
Healthy Living: Improving the nation’s health and well-being. The Y brings families together, encourages good health, and fosters connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interest.
Social Responsibility: Giving back and providing support to our neighbors. We believe our communities are strongest when all people have an opportunity to participate, connect and thrive.  We understand that the desire to belong and help others is human nature and that everyone has something of value to contribute.
