EPB crews continue restoration efforts

Chattanooga, TN (April 20, 2020; 11:00 a.m.) – EPB continues to work electric restoration crews in tandem with fiber optic restoration crews. Despite rain on Sunday, fiber crews arrived as soon as electric crews finished their part of the work and worked through the night.

Current restoration and outage numbers (updated as of Monday, April 20, 11 a.m.)

Electric service has been restored to about 56,500 customers with about 3,500 who continue to experience an outage.  On occasion, in some areas where power has been restored, customers may experience another temporary outage while work is being done to the equipment, which has to be de-energized at times for our crews’ safety.
