Navigating a New Washington

The world of Washington changed a great deal over the past year, with real impacts on Chattanooga businesses. Republicans regained U.S. House majority control, the Senate remains under Democratic leadership and President Joe Biden maneuvers through a divided Washington.

Held at The Signal’s new location at the Chattanooga Choo Choo on Aug. 15, Federal Focus presented by EPB provides an opportunity to delve into implications for local businesses.

Our Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce invited U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn and Rep. Chuck Fleischmann to discuss these evolving political dynamics and their work on behalf of Tennessee businesses.

Tennessee’s senior senator since 2018, Blackburn is a member of the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee; Finance Committee; Judiciary Committee; and Veteran’s Affairs Committee.

Representing Tennessee’s Third Congressional District since 2011, Fleischmann plays a key role on the House Appropriations Committee and is Chair of the Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies.

Recognized as a “Rising Star” in 2009 and “Top 50 Influencer” in 2014 by Campaign and Elections Magazine, our keynote speaker, Rob Engstrom, CEO and founder of Wolfe Street Partners, brings valuable insights from his experiences at the U.S. Bankers Association, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as his time working on Capitol Hill and the Republican National Committee.

Join Federal Focus on Aug. 15. Networking begins at 8:15 a.m. with the main program commencing at 9 a.m.
