Tennessee Riverwalk Ranked in the Top 15 Riverwalks in the United States

Josué Vega, Marketing & Communications Intern

If you’ve ever taken a stroll down our Tennessee Riverwalk, you already know it’s one of the gems of our state. Even if you don’t do the full 25 mile loop, you’ll not only get a fresh breath of nature, but a delicious, homey taste of Chattanooga.

Guess what? It also securely resides among the 15 best river walks in the United States, according to Fodórs Travel.

Yup, it’s right up there with the Chicago Riverwalk, the San Antonio Riverwalk, and Breckenridge’s Riverwalk. Of course, if you've visited it, you know exactly why it ranks so high. On any given day on the Riverwalk, you get treated to some high art thanks to the Bluff View Art District and the Bluff View Sculpture Garden. You'll also get to immerse yourself in mouthwatering restaurants like Tony’s Pasta Shop & Trattoria, and Rembrandt’s Coffee House. Your ears might be treated, too, if you run into one of the many musicians plucking at their guitars or crooning into a microphone in an effort to brighten people’s days. There are even snow cone trucks and ice cream parlor that will cross your path and refresh your walk.

So yeah, you could say it really is a national treasure. And that’s not just us saying it.
