Cindy Steele Named Ambassador of the Year

Cindy Steele, Marketing Manager at Tandem Financial Partners, was named Ambassador of the Year at our Annual Meeting in August.

Cindy has committed countless hours to our Ambassador program, attending 31 ribbon cuttings in the 2015-16 year, and transitioning from Ambassador representative for the Chamber’s Ooltewah/Collegedale Council in 2015-16 to its President-Elect for 2016-17.

Trend: How did you get involved with our Ambassador program?

Steele: After vacationing here, my husband and I always said we’d move to Chattanooga. So when his job was transferred three years ago, we packed up and relocated here. I needed to find a job, so the first place I went to get connected was the Chamber. I previously worked for an Ameriprise Financial franchise and was involved in the Chamber which led to great networking opportunities and business growth.

I landed at Tandem Financial Partners, a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial, Inc., as Marketing Manager. We soon became Chamber members which has been extremely rewarding for our business.

T: What is your favorite thing about being an Ambassador?

S: My work as an ambassador has benefited our practice by putting Tandem Financial Partners on the map and helping me meet our goals whether it’s through community service, serving on a variety of boards or simply reaching out in general. I also really enjoy working with my fellow Ambassadors and would like to thank them for all their hard work as well.

As a Marketing Manager, I believe that marketing is defined by building new relationships and cultivating existing relationships, and there’s no greater way to do that than being involved in the Chamber. It’s a win for me personally, for my company and for the community to help the Chamber fulfill its mission.
