Northside Neighborhood House Opens New Office and Thrift Store in Soddy Daisy

Northside Neighborhood House opened a new North Hamilton County Office and Thrift Store at 9358 Dayton Pike in Soddy Daisy.

“We are so excited to open the NNH’s third thrift store in this community,” says Rachel Gammon, CEO of the NNH. “Our stores offer quality clothing and household items at affordable prices, which can make a big difference to families who live on a fixed income.”

In addition to the thrift store, the new space will also feature a private office for Direct Assistance appointments (help with utility bills and prescriptions) and a Community Room with a Computer Lab and space for partner organizations such as Chattanooga Human Services to see clients in need of services like rent assistance.

“We have seen a great demand for basic needs assistance in North Hamilton County over the past several years,” says Gammon. “Many of these community members don’t have the means to travel to our North Chattanooga office so we worked to develop a plan that would bridge this gap in services.  We are thrilled to also be bringing more resources to the community through some great collaborative partnerships.”

In April 2014, the NNH started seeing clients at a temporary North Hamilton County site on the campus of Dallas Bay Baptist. While the space served the agency well during the first phase of expansion into the North Hamilton community, the new office provides more space to provide more services to neighbors in need.

The Thrift Store will be open Monday through Friday from 10am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 10am to 3pm. The store is closed Sundays.
