Meet Chattanooga Chamber Ambassadors

By Natalia Pérez, Marketing and Communications Intern

Ambassadors are the cornerstone of a strong Chamber. Serving as our frontline and face, these volunteers attend ribbon cuttings, maintain contact with other Chamber members through phone calls and visits, and assist and nurture future community leaders to secure the Chamber's future success.

Meet three of our outstanding Ambassadors here: Simeon Baskerville, Nikki Rozzell and Cindy Steele.

Simeon Baskerville

Bushings Unlimited, Owner

Trend: What do you love most about your job?

Baskerville: What I love most about my job at Bushings Unlimited is creating a positive experience for every customer. There is nothing more satisfying than when you have met the needs of your customers and they are happy.

Trend: Why did you become an Ambassador of the Chattanooga Chamber? What do you like most about it?

Baskerville: I became an Ambassador because I wanted to help other businesses get the most from their Chamber membership like I was shown. Also, I saw it as an opportunity to learn how to network more effectively and develop those relationships into potential long-term business opportunities. What I like most are the new relationships I've developed inside and outside the Chamber as well as the opportunity to collaborate and develop relationships with my fellow Chamber Ambassadors.

Nikki Rozzell

Insurance Advisors of Tennessee, Insurance Producer

Trend: What do you love most about your job?

Rozzell: Being a liaison between clients and insurance carriers has given me the ability to effectively communicate with insurance novices and professionals alike. I can gain an understanding of a client that allows me to develop an accurate risk profile and negotiate a customized product for the client.

Trend: Why did you become an Ambassador of the Chattanooga Chamber? What do you like most about it?

Rozzell: I became an Ambassador for the opportunity be able to serve on welcome committees, help with membership campaigns and act as a public relations liaison related to networking and social events sponsored by the Chamber. Being an Ambassador has created a new circle of friends and business partnerships I may not have otherwise developed on my own.

Cindy Steele

Cindy Travel Girl, Owner

Trend: What do you love most about your job?

Steele: I love that I get to combine my passion for travel with a passion for helping people. Who doesn’t love vacation? I can have the “laptop lifestyle,” get paid for deepening and nurturing my passion and help people make memories that will last the rest of their lives.

Trend: Why did you become an Ambassador of the Chattanooga Chamber? What do you like most about it?

Steele: My work as an Ambassador has helped my business get exposure and has helped me meet my goals whether it’s through community service, serving on a variety of boards or conversing with members. I also really enjoy working with my fellow Ambassadors. As Ambassadors we are all about building new relationships and cultivating existing ones. It's a win for me personally, for my business and for the community to help the Chamber fulfill its mission.
