Corporate Uses for Video

One-third of all online activity is spent watching video, and almost 5 billion videos are viewed on YouTube every single day (Merchdope.com).

Why should you utilize video within your company? 

For one, more video content is uploaded in 30 days than major U.S. television networks have created in 30 years (Wordstream.com). But there’s another reason.

While most companies understand the need for external video marketing, they often forget about some of the less traditional uses – especially the need for internal videos.  A tutorial on building a piece of machinery, safety training for a new piece of equipment or process, talent recruitment, informing employees about a new benefit package, communicating an important message from the CEO, documentation of  historical data ... the possibilities are endless.

A Few Video Case Studies:

  • Phillips Ultrasound manufactures a specialized ultrasound machine they build for customers just a couple times each year. Since this is not a product the plant workers make often, excessive waste that took place during the manufacturing process. To combat the expense of waste during the assembly process, Phillips Ultrasound worked with our production agency to create a training video showing each step of the assembly process. This video is an easy-to-follow resource that plant workers can quickly reference during the manufacturing process.
     
  • Miller & Martin celebrated its 150 year anniversary and wanted to showcase the company history with a focus on its philanthropic community-building efforts. This video debuted to company stakeholders at the 150th anniversary celebration and currently resides on the company website
     
  • CARTA launched a multimedia campaign promoting the ease of multi-modal transportation. Partnering with Bike Chattanooga and Green Commuter, they produced three videos that featured the convenience of each mode of transportation which help addressed the 'why' and 'how' questions often raised by their target audience.
